Entry: Christmastime 12/22/2004

Whoa! I can't believe its been almost a month since I last posted. And I am also having a hard time believing that its christmas again. It seems like last years christmas specials were just on TV, and here they are on TV again. Crazy! Well, I've finally gotten back on my feet after the bank ordeal, and have just finished my christmas shopping. I was worried for a while that I wouldn't have enough money, but I just barely made it :D

Here's some irony for you. I worked my butt off at work for six months trying to get a promotion, until I finally realized it was no good and just gave up. So for the past two months I havent been working extra hard or anything, but now they think Im doing better than when I actually was trying to get promoted(??). Yea, my manager is a wacko. Oh well, at least I am finally getting what I deserved a long time ago.

Ebay, ebay, ebay. PLEASE remind me not to use it anymore! As if the last time wasn't bad enough, I had to go and use it again. My mom has wanted a certain movie on VHS for over a year, but it isn't made in the U.S. Well I just assumed it wasnt manufactured anywhere, until I ran across it on Ebay. The seller was from Australlia, and I won the movie for $50.00. Well, stupid me forgot to write it in my bank register which caused my former bank problem (amounting to $200.00 in debts altogether). Well when I finally get the movie which seems to be in very good condition, I pop it in my VCR to test it and all I get is a staticy black screen and barely audible sound. Needless to say I was VERY upset. well I get online later and I find out that there are different "Formats" of videos/vcr's around the world (meaning a video from one country may not work in a VCR from another country.) after finding this out I was even more angry because I had got taken again by Ebay. Well after searching for a while I came across a company online that does "video conversions". It is one of the few companies that has a reformatting machine to change a video tape from a foreign format to the american format. altogether this cost me $29.00. Lets add all this up now....

50.00
200.00
29.00
---------
$279.00!!

Yea, mom better really appreciate this! ;) A bit of advice to all you Ebayers...never buy from overseas unless you know what you are doing!

There have been some new additions to Scruffiness since my last blog, all of which can be found through the content link to the left. Enjoy and remember there will be more in the future. Oh and I need your guys opinion...my sister has recently been showing an interest in Star Wars, yet Im not sure I want to let her know about AAHA, as I kind of like having to myself if you know what I mean. What da you think? Leave a comment and let me know

Well thats all for now. I hope you all have happy holidays celebrating Christmas, Hanahkuh, Qwanza, Festivus, or whatever you believe in. Happy 2005! (You know what that means. 5 months til EIII!)

IT'S A FESTIVUS MIRACLE!!!

HAHa, keeping it a secret eh? I used to to that until I dragged my bf into joining aaha, after a while it didn't work but it's always fun to introduce new people to aaha, that's how the community grows, keep it in mind ;)

Bloody hell, that WAS an expensive tape eh, which is odd cause I've bought several movies internationally they always work with mine, odd.

Anyways, I've missed you so much!!!! You better get yourself on aim soon! Love ya and happy holidays! Xx
